The Beach and Swimming
Visiting the Spirit of Life is not just about being on a healing course, the whole environment around the centre is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a holiday. And what better place to relax than the beach.
The coastline here is varied, with cliffs and sheltered coves, sandy beaches and pebbly stretches. What makes the swimming here so special, is the combination of the crystalline turquoise / blue waters and the mountains that spread in all directions.
Stoupa, the largest village in the area has three beaches, all very different. Kalogria beach being very beautiful and popular with tourists. The main beach (below) is much longer and has shops and tavernas spread along its edge. Finally there is a small, usually quiet beach to the south.
Stoupa Beach
Agios Nikolaos has two beaches south of the main village as well as a very beautiful jetty for swimming from, many tourists are unaware it exists, it is well maintained with steps into the sea, beautiful landscaping , flowers and very secluded. There are also several pebbly bays with sandy stretches North of Stoupa.
Looks like a good dive - down at the jetty.
